I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
